  • First of all, you have to open Task Manager, you can do it by righ-clicking on the task bar or just press Ctrl + Shift + Esc keys on your keyboard.
  • Now, in the Task Manager window, go to the Startup tab or try clicking on the More Details option.
  • Then, you will see a list of programs running on your Windows startup.
  • Now, simply select the programs which you want to disable on your Windows startup and then click on Disable button.
  • That’s it! You are done!

  • First of all, click on Start button and then type msconfig in the Start search. In XP, first click on Run command and then type msconfig and hit Enter key.
  • Now, System Configuration window will appear and then click on the Startup tab.
  • Then, you will see a list of programs that starts automatically with your Windows startup.
  • To stop the startup programs, remove the checks from those programs which you don’t want to run automatically with your Windows.

  • Then, a new dialog box will appear in which you have to click on Restart button to make the changes work.
